Hormone Replacement Therapy
As we age our hormone levels decline, which contributes to our decline. As a result of this, we gain weight, lose muscle and have less interest in sexual activity. Our bones become brittle and our minds do not work as well as they used to. For the best quality of life we need to keep these hormone levels at healthy levels.
At Performance Medicine we prefer to use natural, bio-identical hormones. We test the hormone levels and supplement them if they are low.

For males, we measure testosterone, estrogen and other related hormones. We often find that men have low testosterone levels, a condition which can have dire consequences for health. We even discover that some men have higher levels of estrogen than women do!
