Margaux Cousturian is a highly skilled Physician Associate (PA-C) at Performance Medicine in Fountain City. She graduated from Mercer University’s Physician Associate Program in Atlanta, GA. She has a background in biomedical research and is a published co-author.
With years of experience in functional, integrative medicine, Margaux is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health and wellness through personalized treatment plans that address the root causes of their health issues. Margaux developed Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune thyroid disease, at a young age. After battling for many years through traditional medicine practices with no improvement, she was able to improve her symptoms and her autoimmune disease through functional medicine. Because of her personal experience, she is passionate about treating the root cause of hypothyroidism, Hashimoto’s, and other autoimmune disorders. Additionally, Margaux specializes in hormone balancing, anti-aging, weight loss, peptide therapy, and other areas of integrative functional medicine. She provides patients with the latest diagnostic and treatment options to manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life. She believes in educating patients to become their own advocates and take charge of their health.
Outside of work, Margaux enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and biking on the scenic trails of Tennessee, using infrared saunas, weight training, reading, and enjoying her husband’s cooking. Margaux is happily married and shares her life with her husband and two beloved dogs who keep them active and entertained.
