Microneedling

Microneedling is used to treat and improve conditions like acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, loose skin, skin texture, pore size, brown spots, stretch marks, and pigment issues. It is also referred to as skin needling, or collagen induction therapy. At Performance Medicine, we use the SkinPen device.

Most patients see results after their first treatment, although individual results vary depending on individual skin health. It is most common to begin to see true changes or positive results as soon as 1-2 weeks after the first treatment.

The SkinPen microneedling device has revolutionized microneedling, offering improved results compared to dermarollers. SkinPen is also more sanitary because it uses disposable needle cartridges and penetrates drastically deeper in the skin.

Microneedling sessions are short and require little downtime.

Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands.

A chemical peel is an acid solution applied to the face to remove the outermost layer or layers of skin. The skin crusts, scales, and peels over several days. The new skin that grows in its place is softer, smoother, and has fewer imperfections.

We offer peels that address different needs for the face from acne, to hyperpigmented skin, to fine lines and wrinkles.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning gives your skin an immediate exfoliation for a luminous glow and a smoother complexion. The benefits are dewy skin, faster cell turnover, and a smoother texture. The light shaving motion gets rid of little facial hairs while it exfoliates. For an even more effective treatment, dermaplaning can be used right before a light chemical peel.

Microblading

Microblading is a method of tattooing your eyebrows that is semi-permanent (lasts 6 months to 2 years) and imitates the natural strokes of your eyebrows. It’s for people who have thin eyebrows and want their eyebrows filled in. Check out this short video to learn more about Microblading.
