FAVORITE PATIENT SUCCESS STORY

I had the opportunity to work with a local runner who kept having recurring injuries to his lower extremities (Achilles tendinitis, patellofemoral syndrome, IT Band syndrome, etc). He was very frustrated as he would have recurring injuries anytime he increased his training mileage, with his long-term goal being to compete in the New York City Marathon.


I did a thorough musculoskeletal assessment and a biomechanical assessment, filming him running on the track and breaking down the film to better assess form. He had several biomechanical deficiencies and imbalances that were contributing to his overuse injuries.


I helped him correct those deficiencies, and he was able to return to training and successfully completed the New York City Marathon later that year.
