Welcome everyone to another edition of the Doctor’s Note where we talk about what’s on our minds when it comes to your health.

My son, Andy Rogers, PA-C, recently attended the A4M 32nd Annual World Congress, the world’s largest Anti-Aging conference that focuses on functional and integrative medicine. The title of this year’s event was Longevity 2024. What a perfect mindset to begin a New Year.

According to a new survey, improving physical health was named the top resolution for 2024. That could mean changing your eating habits, increasing your physical activity, adding a new vitamin supplement to your diet, etc., but more important than the goal is the desire to live a long healthy life.

There are options for your health and wellness. From the best of the best in integrative medicine, Andy shares his key takeaways from the conference that will help you formulate a plan for living your best life.

Methylene Blue

This was a huge topic at the conference! We’ve talked a lot about Methylene Blue on YouTube and on our website. Here are some of Andy’s takeaways on Methylene Blue.

  • Methylene Blue creates more hydrogen oxide on the electron transport chain.
  • Methylene Blue doesn’t have any negative side effects.
  • You can do low dose versus high dose. Low dose is going to be .5 mg/kg, upwards of 1 to 1.5 mg/kg. High dose is going to be 3mg/kg. Andy’s lecturer recommended 8-16 mg per day if you’re going to use lower doses. You can also titrate to how blue the urine is. The bluer the urine, the more it’s going through.
  • You can use high doses of Methylene Blue for nasty infections of Covid and any sort of chronic illness like Lyme Disease or Fibromyalgia. If you’re looking for more prevention and longevity, you’re going to want to use lower doses.
  • Take Vitamin C with Methylene Blue, and get light. Get outside and get light. They also are recommending Red Light Therapy, which works synergistically with Methylene Blue.
  • They are also using lower doses of Methylene Blue for ADD along with L-Theanine and caffeine.
  • They also use Methylene Blue for Dementia. Dosing for Dementia is 16mg per day.
  • The only people who definitely should not be taking Methylene Blue are women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Alternative Cancer Treatments

We are not against chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery for cancer at all! Chemotherapy kills cancer cells with chemicals, radiation is actually directing it where you’re burning the cancerous cells, and surgery is where you cut it out. These are the three main modalities that you are looking at from a traditional standpoint, which for some cancers absolutely work!

When you’re looking at it from a natural approach, you’re not wanting to feed the cancer. When you are looking at not feeding a cancer or using natural modalities to get into the cancer cells and kill it, Fenbendazole is working. Fenbendazole was highly recommended at the conference.

Mistletoe, another huge treatment modality for cancer, was also recommended at the conference. The lecturer mentioned that in Europe, 85% of patients that have cancer are on Mistletoe. Here is a book we’re studying right now on this. They are also big on a clean Ketogenic diet for cancer.

Note: I’m really looking forward to the advances in cancer treatments. This is a big deal. Do the traditional as well as the alternative.

More Key Takeaways From A4M World Congress

  • All the lecturers love LDN
  • Concerning weight loss, waist size is a better indicator than weight. Your height divided by 2 (in inches) is what your ideal waist size should be. We actually have InBody scans in our offices that help you differentiate between adipose tissue, muscle tissue, and visceral fat.
  • Blue Zones were a huge topic and what’s most common among them. You have to have fun! The Blue Zone regions are where some of the oldest and healthiest people in the world live. Although their lifestyles may slightly differ, they mostly eat a plant-based diet, exercise regularly, drink moderate amounts of alcohol, get enough sleep and have good spiritual, family and social networks.
  • They talked about Ozempic and Mounjaro because they have cardiac indications. Dr. Oz is a huge fan of it! It can decrease blood pressure, reverse non alcoholic fatty liver disease, and may be helpful for certain addictions.
  • In my opinion, most adults should take a daily aspirin (with some exceptions). Anything you do to protect is also going to be protective against cancer and dementia.
  • Your genes do not determine what happens to you. Your lifestyle does.
  • Learn and unlearn (i.e, Nutrition).

There are many more health gems in this podcast. I encourage you to take a moment (with pen and paper) to listen to the full podcast and note what resonates with your health needs. Dr. Oz says, “The biggest gift you can give yourself is to tell yourself the truth.” Start with where you are and where you want to be. Then begin the journey of setting attainable goals that will get you there. Be kind to yourself. Love and kindness energy goes a long way.

Stay educated. Stay healthy.

Till next week.
